I know I'm really late to the party on this one, but I just created my first Facebook account.

I've known about the service since its inception, but I just didn't see how it was worth investing any time in. What changed? Well, now that hundreds of people I know have Facebook accounts it's suddenly become worthwhile.

I must say, Facebook is so much cleaner and more pleasant than all the ugly pages over at MySpace. I hate looking at Myspace pages. Facebook is much leaner and to the point.

I know there are other, newer, services out there, but the network-effects have kicked in at Facebook and finally made it a useful tool for me.

I've already reestablished contact with three friends who I hadn't spoke to for years. That alone makes it worth the time I've invested.
